What happened to DrewBorg.com?

Well chances are if you’re visiting this blog, it’s because you have just been redirected from the main DrewBorg.com homepage which if you notice is no longer there! So you might just be wondering, what’s going on around here? Well…

We are in the process of updating our main site, so only the blog, and other DrewBorg mini sites such as Ohio Forgotten and CP Guide are accessible at this time.
We are still open for Web Design, if you would like a site designed, you can still reach us through our email: andrew@drewborg.com or through twitter.

Coming Soon: ConvALL

Coming soon to DrewBorg.com is ConvALL: The Everything Converter! We hope to have it released in beta on New Years Day!

The basic concept of ConvALL is to convert all major file types: music, movies, pictures, and office documents in one place for FREE. Yep! We’re going to be the one and only web converter on the web that converts video in the highest quality available for FREE!

What happens is that you upload your file, select what you want it to convert to, and click convert. The file will convert, this could take up to 24hrs based on the number of users converting files. We hope to make this quicker in future releases. Then check your e-mail, and the file will be sent to you. If the file is under 20MB, it will be attached to the email as well as a link to our download site. If it’s over 20MB, the file will be uploaded to our ConvALL download center, for you to download it. Right now there is a 100MB (110MB MAX) limit for files.

In the future, we hope to have a payed PRO version of the converter to be used for things like maximum file sizes of 500MB, stored uploads, and more. The payed version will only be used for unneeded extras and will not be required for basic conversions.

Also, for all of you who love to download movies and music from YouTube and other video sites, we are working on a mini app for the converter that allows the converter to download the MP4 or FLV file of the movie to our site where it will then be available for conversion with out converter.

We also want to open up API in the future so that you guys can create “mini apps” for the converter.

So far we have designed the converter for the look and we are now working on making it work so it can convert files and send it back to you through e-mail. We hope you all are as excited as we are for this new converter, we will keep you updated through twitter and this blog.

Spam Fight

It seems that I’m getting more spam comments than real comments. I have a spam fighting plugin for WordPress, but it doesn’t work too good. So I added reCAPTCHA to the site. Hopefully it works, if not I’m going to have to make people register before they can comment, which I don’t want to do. So until then, enjoy the blog! Your are welcome to comment, just as long as it isn’t SPAM!

I’m Back!

After about three weeks without a blog, I’m back and typing! One of the main reasons I’m not blogging as much is because I’ve been working on my other site: CP Guide: Your Online Guide to Cedar Point. You may have noticed this banner on the home page…

Well, if your heading out to Cedar Point for some Amusement Park fun then plan your trip using CP Guide. It’s still under construction, but there are still a few good things on there.

Another New Theme

The New Theme Launched!

The new DrewBorg.com theme as featured in the previous post is now up and running. Now, with every new site, there will be problems. I found a few and fixed them, but I’m sure there are more. Also, only about 95% of the site has the new theme. A few pages here and there will not have the same layout, but the theme will have some affect on those pages. I hope you enjoy the site and of course the blog widget on the pages is not up to date and won’t be for at least a few days while I finish transferring the site and fixing errors. Enjoy!

A New Look to DrewBorg.com?

If you have heard a rumor about a new look coming to DrewBorg.com, then you didn’t hear wrong.

Check out this flickr photo I’ve uploaded of the new site…

There are things that I can do on flickr that I can’t do on my blog. So if you clicked on the photo, you might have noticed notes on parts of the image. Place your mouse over them to read what will happen on the site and they also fill in more details about the site.

The New Theme

Well many of you have aready noticed a NEW theme. I really like this theme, so it will be around for a while. If you haven’t looked down yet, and you should, then you will notice a clock, start button, and page links! Don’t you just love this theme! I also like the look, if you have windows vista, the you might notice the look of the sidebar matches the look of the Windows Sidebar and the Taskbar looks like the taskbar! Isn’t that cool!

Well, our blog will be one week old on Saturday Night! Also, after another hard week it’s finally Friday and during this week I created a blog just for Ohio Forgotten so I will no longer post updates on Ohio Forgotten here.

I would like to welcome everyone to my blog! If you visited the blog before, it said coming soon! Well now it’s here! The links on the site are going to be updated to: http://www.drewborg.com/blog/index.php. If you click on a link and you don’t get here, change the .htm to .php and that should do it!

I’m new to this WordPress blogging and many changes are going to be made. I actually deleted this whole blog by changing an option, that was BAD. Also, until I learn how to setup two blogs, this blog will be covering Ohio Forgotten too. And one last thing, I’m not a very good speller, typer, or writer. If your reading this, please bare with me and my bad spelling and typing!
